Changing WordPress Website Title?
On my website (with a WordPress template) there is the Title of the site (just the URL) and underneath it is a Subtitle that came with the template. “Just another wordpress site” – how do I change that text? I keep trying to do so through the editing system but I don’t even know what file contains that text.
1) Go to settings (top right)
2) The second line says “Tagline”. There’ change it to whatever you want it to say.
This is for a wordpress.com site. I don’t know how it’s done with the downloaded version of Wordpress.

What's a good Wordpress theme for a video blog?
I'm starting a crafting blog and need a good theme! I am willing to pay if the theme is good enough. I'm planning to post weekly "how-to" videos and photo tutorials and want an "easy to look at" layout that shows thumbnails of previous video posts. Know any good themes?
Thanks!
I have 2, my first favorite is Videographer:

Here's the demo for Videographer:

And my other favorite one is the Video Theme:

And the demo for that is here:

Hope this helps!
Both are free by the way. However, if you don't like them, I could show you some premium ones, just email me.
I am thinking about buying a curling iron, which one should I get?
I have brunette colored hair, down about four inches below my shoulders and side bangs, oh and naturally pin straight hair. I was thinking about buying a curling iron. I wanted to make it look like parts of my hair are curled, and parts are straight, I guess sort of like this: http://z.about.com/d/movies/1/0/p/b/D/click06140650.jpg
or this:

Now I want to make note, that I NEVER ever like to follow what the celebrities are doing, so I just want nice answers, cause I just like the style, I don’t want to look exactly like them or look like I am a huge fan of Victoria Justice, or Miranda Cosgrove. So my question is what kind of curling iron should I get? Because they have different sizes (oh I want small curls, not like huge.) Also I like Conair a lot so if it could be that brand at like Target or a store like that, and one more thing could you also add a web page of what you think I should get, that would be totally awesome.Thank you, thank you so much.
I know now I am annoying but could you also give me (good, and experienced) tips on using a curling iron and styling.
Now I am done! (LOL) Thank you, thank you sooooo much!
I just bought a Infiniti by Conair and it works great(: It's 1 1/4, and it's about 20 to 30 dollars, depending where you buy it. I got mines for 25 bucks.

I suggest you to use hairspray and/or some hair rollers, cause my curls just fell out like PFT!

And don't forget to buy heat protective spray!!

Hope this helps =D
what is the easiest way to add a new theme to your word press page that you downloaded?
Upload all the theme files to wp-content/themes/[theme name]. Then go to your Dashboard, select Appearance/Themes, and the new theme should appear on the list of available themes. Select it, WP will ask you if you want to use this theme, and you tell it yes.
Can I move my blog from Blogger to Wordpress using my own hosting?
I have a blog at Blogger.com. I am using my own Domain name, a custom template, and letting Blogger do the hosting. The author of the custom template just released a version for Wordpress. Is it now possible to move my blog to Wordpress, keeping the same Domain, and using my own host?
If so, please explain how. If not please explain why. Thank you.
Login to your Wordpress admin Dashboard, click on Tool -> Import -> choose Blogger and then follow the instructions
Could someone please install wordpress on my Webhost?
Could someone please install wordpress on my Webhost? If you do I am good with Sony Vegas and Photoshop so I could design you somestuff. If you are interested just email me at jb.itechsupport@gmail.com
1. Download and unzip the WordPress package, if you haven't already.
2. Create a database for WordPress on your web server, as well as a MySQL user who has all privileges for accessing and modifying it.
3. Rename the wp-config-sample.php file to wp-config.php.
4. Open wp-config.php in your favorite text editor and fill in your database details as explained in Editing wp-config.php to generate and use your secret key password.
5. Place the WordPress files in the desired location on your web server:
* If you want to integrate WordPress into the root of your domain (e.g. http://example.com/), move or upload all contents of the unzipped WordPress directory (but excluding the directory itself) into the root directory of your web server.
* If you want to have your WordPress installation in its own subdirectory on your web site (e.g. http://example.com/blog/), rename the directory wordpress to the name you'd like the subdirectory to have and move or upload it to your web server. For example if you want the WordPress installation in a subdirectory called "blog", you should rename the directory called "wordpress" to "blog" and upload it to the root directory of your web server.
Hint: If your FTP transfer is too slow read how to avoid FTPing at : Step 1: Download and Extract.
6. Run the WordPress installation script by accessing wp-admin/install.php in your favorite web browser.
* If you installed WordPress in the root directory, you should visit: http://example.com/wp-admin/install.php
* If you installed WordPress in its own subdirectory called blog, for example, you should visit: http://example.com/blog/wp-admin/install.php
That's it! WordPress should now be installed.
Display current wordpress theme while working on another?
I there a way to display my current wordpress theme and keep it up while working on and viewing another?
Assuming both themes are installed into the themes folder, you can leave your default one set, and from your control panel, you can use the view feature to check out what the other one looks like.
Hope that was of help, Jorawar.
what jobs require linux use ? (how do i further my knowledge of linux beyond being a regular user ?)?
well , i am realtivly new to linux ( ubuntu , knoppix )
im going to be going to college soon , and im wondering what sort of jobs would i look at that could require me to use linux ?
i currently know html and am pretty fluent with html , wordpress and style sheets
im working on learning php , and i know a very little amount of python ( basically nothing)
so i guess what im wondering is how do i further my knowledge from just using the os ( i know some things like using terminal , , gedit , sudo …small stuff like that)
but i want to focus my trainign to a specific job soon , and any studies i can do on my own are only going to help me
the reason i was thinking linux , is mainly beacause linux seems like an os that you can really learn … you can "get your hands dirty" in the actual os
but , if you think i would be able to have a more succesfull career with windows then please say so
and what are some future computer related jobs that are going to be in high demand ?
tahnks for your help , it is very much appreciated
Linux is a big player in the server market so if you want to acquire skills that can be used in industry, learn everything you can about networking (with linux and but also, importantly, with windows machines)
Why is the government of Israel making things up about Iran's imaginary nuclear program?
http://original.antiwar.com/porter/2009/06/03/report-ties-dubious-iran-nuclear-docs-to-israel/
A report on Iran’s nuclear program issued by the Senate Foreign Relations Committee last month generated news stories publicizing an incendiary charge that U.S. intelligence is underestimating Iran’s progress in designing a "nuclear warhead" before the halt in nuclear weapons-related research in 2003.
That false and misleading charge from an intelligence official of a foreign country, who was not identified but was clearly Israeli, reinforces two of Israel’s key propaganda themes on Iran – that the 2007 U.S. National Intelligence Estimate on Iran is wrong, and that Tehran is poised to build nuclear weapons as soon as possible.
But it also provides new evidence that Israeli intelligence was the source of the collection of intelligence documents which have been used to accuse Iran of hiding nuclear weapons research.
The Committee report, dated May 4, cited unnamed "foreign analysts" as claiming intelligence that Iran ended its nuclear weapons-related work in 2003 because it had mastered the design and tested components of a nuclear weapon and thus didn’t need to work on it further until it had produced enough sufficient material.
That conclusion, which implies that Iran has already decided to build nuclear weapons, contradicts both the 2007 National Intelligence Estimate on Iran, and current intelligence analysis. The NIE concluded that Iran had ended nuclear weapons-related work in 2003 because of increased international scrutiny, and that it was "less determined to develop nuclear weapons than we have been judging since 2005."
The report included what appears to be a spectacular revelation from "a senior allied intelligence official" that a collection of intelligence documents supposedly obtained by U.S. intelligence in 2004 from an Iranian laptop computer includes "blueprints for a nuclear warhead."
It quotes the unnamed official as saying that the blueprints "precisely matched" similar blueprints the official’s own agency "had obtained from other sources inside Iran."
No U.S. or IAEA official has ever claimed that the so-called laptop documents included designs for a "nuclear warhead." The detailed list in a May 26, 2008 IAEA report of the contents of what have been called the "alleged studies" – intelligence documents on alleged Iranian nuclear weapons work — made no mention of any such blueprints.
In using the phrase "blueprints for a nuclear warhead," the unnamed official was evidently seeking to conflate blueprints for the reentry vehicle of the Iranian Shehab missile, which were among the alleged Iranian documents, with blueprints for nuclear weapons.
When New York Times reporters William J. Broad and David E. Sanger used the term "nuclear warhead" to refer to a reentry vehicle in a Nov. 13, 2005 story on the intelligence documents on the Iranian nuclear program, it brought sharp criticism from David Albright, the president of the Institute for Science and International Security.
"This distinction is not minor," Albright observed, "and Broad should understand the differences between the two objects, particularly when the information does not contain any words such as nuclear or nuclear warhead."
The Senate report does not identify the country for which the analyst in question works, and the Senate Foreign Relations Committee staff refused to respond to questions about the report from IPS, including the reason why the report concealed the identity of the country for which the unidentified "senior allied intelligence official" works.
Reached later in May, the author of the report, Douglas Frantz, told IPS he is under strict instructions not to speak with the news media.
After a briefing on the report for selected news media immediately after its release, however, the Associated Press reported May 6 that interviews were conducted in Israel. Frantz was apparently forbidden by Israeli officials from revealing their national affiliation as a condition for the interviews.
Frantz, a former journalist for the Los Angeles Times, had extensive contacts with high-ranking Israeli military, intelligence and foreign ministry officials before joining the Senate Foreign Relations Committee staff. He and co-author Catherine Collins conducted interviews with those Israeli officials for The Nuclear Jihadist, published in 2007. The interviews were all conducted under rules prohibiting disclosure of their identities, according to the book.
The unnamed Israeli intelligence officer’s statement that the "blueprints for a nuclear warhead" — meaning specifications for a missile reentry vehicle – were identical to "designs his agency had obtained from other sources in Iran" suggests that the documents collection which the IAEA has called "alleged studies" actually originated in Israel.
A U.S.-based nuclear weapons analyst who has followed the "alleged studies" intelligence documents
The Answer is Simple !
Israel has always been trying to show itself as a "victim" in order to gain the global comminuty's sympathy so that it could hide its Crimes against Humanity .
in order to maintain such a thing they need to make up an Enemy , a Great Threat ,while Nazis are gone and Arabs have become too submissive toward them lately then who's better than "Iran" !?
