I wold like to know about how can i design my own PHP website script so i can edit the website from the admin panel like the WORDPRESS generator . Did any one can help me please?

Describing the entire process of creating a customized content management system is a bit too time consuming for Y! Answers but I can shoot you some advice.

Try some of the existing CMS tools, like Wordpress. It can be a fully-functional CMS and is very extendable. I’ve been able to do some rapid CMS development using the Wordpress API.

I know many companies are using Drupal as well. I have had bad experiences with Joomla in the past when too many modules are installed.

Evaluate your need for a CMS: is this for you or a client? How much content needs to be updated and how regularly?

If the answer is very rarely, you could hold off, or just build a dynamic site without a CMS to develop your PHP skills.

Either way, you would need some basic to intermediate understanding of dealing with:

- GET/POST requests
- session management
- connecting and working with databases
- methods of input and output escaping

These would be basics for you to get started and piece a system together. Focus on these and build on your skill set as you iterate versions.

To learn more about PHP, be sure to check out www.W3Schools.com for tutorials on PHP and other web related languages. As for Wordpress, its API, Drupal, or Joomla, see the source list below.

I want to keep the font size and style the same on the homepage, but inside the blog post I want to change the font size and style. How do I do this? I understand that his is done in the css style sheet – but I wanted to make sure of where and how exactly so I don’t mess anything up. Thanks!

Help I have a new wordpress theme that doesn’t allow me to enter any html like a social button or the html for wordpress stats and now my stats don’t work. Can someone who is an expert with wordpress help me?
yes I am going to editor and nothing that I enter in html appears. Can there be some code that the new template has that is preventing me from entering any html in the editor?

are you going into the control panel and clicking on appearance, then editor

that is where you can edit the html and add the social buttons and stats

I am creating a wordpress blog and was wondering how I would create a public submission box where readers can post a short paragraph and then have it appear onto the blog for the public to view, comment on and rate. I am looking for a similar template like "F My Life", "I am Neurotic", and "Text from Last Night." If any one knows how to add this plugin please let me know how to do it. Thanks so much!

I don’t know how to make my design a template and I don’t know PHP very well at all =(. I just know html, css. actionscript….

I would learn how to create a Wordpress theme first:

Then look at a few Wordpress themes and their CSS to see how they work together.

Should be pretty easy for you since you know html and css. You don’t need to know PHP like a programmer.

The following tutorial is the best. It teaches you how to create wordpress themes from scratch. I learnt how to create them using this tutorial.

What is meant by word press themes and after downloading it,what should i do to use it?

Wordpress themes are the layouts for wordpress. For example, if you look at a wordpress site, the colours, styles, fonts, arrangement of stuff, etc, they all make up a theme.

Once you downloaded a theme, you can use it by going to your wordpress dashboard, look at the sidebar on the left and under the Appearance menu, click Add new themes. Then once you are brought to a new page, click Upload and then you just upload the theme. After you done uploading it, go back to the themes main page and just click on the theme you have just uploaded!
