Which is a better blogging service Wordpress or Blogger?

Author: I’m about to start my own blog and I was curious as to what would be the best possible blogging platform to use? I used Blogger back when it was all HTML none of these nifty widgets they seem to have now and it seems nicer when it comes to styling your blog, but I feel like Wordpress would be easier to get myself out there it’s more widely known.
If your goal is to get new traffic, WordPress would probably be your better choice. WordPress is much better with SEO, so you would have a greater chance of someone finding your blog on a Search Engine.
Blogger is nice if you just want to do a personal blog mainly targeted to your friends and family. WordPress also has a much better community of bloggers behind it.
As far as Widgets and User Interface, both are pretty similar.

Wordpress seems to have a better community behind it. In fact I use it for four of my websites and could not be happier.

Best bet it is to host your own Wordpress site. you can get hosting for under $5 per month or cheaper. Using the wordpress site ot host your blog limits you.
You’ll outgrow what you can do on it quickly and not be able to use all the cool plugins.
Wordpress is easy to learn and you can be very compentnet using it for internet mareting in a short time.

Hi there,
Wordpress will provide you with much better functionality and features than Blogger. Plus, and this is a big plus, with Wordpress if you host it on your own blog you have control of your files and the Big G isn’t going to wipe out your website because it’s having a bad day.
Wordpress 2.8 is so full of features and flexible it is amazing. I find new features and plugins every day and can lose hours messing with them. I run about 40 sites on Wordpress at the moment and feel it’s the best platform for blogging.

Hello,
I would recommend wordpress as it is easier to customize and apply themes and. Blogger is kind of dull and installing custom made themes is quite difficult. I did not like wordpress before but now I simply love it.
Go for wordpress.org – it is really great!
