Why do people make fun of other people when they get a fake coach purse?

Author: Personally I think its really rude of people to do that. The reason why they make them is so people can afford something like the real thing and people buy them because they like the style. They shouldn’t be made fun of for having an opinion. What I want to know is why people get all mean and weird about designer labels or why people at work get made fun of for having a fake coach purse.

b/c not only are fakes really obvious and tacky looking, but they are bad for the world. So you want to look like you have $200 to spend on a bag, but you don’t. So instead of maybe saving and giving your money to the designer who worked hard to come up with the design, you take the easy way and buy it from a counterfeiter. Most counterfeiters are also involved in other illegal activities like drug and human trafficking (means kidnapping and kids into prostitution and slave labor at sweat shops). So when you proudly tote your fake bag around, there is the blood of young girls on it. If you can sleep at night with that info, well then there is no hope for you as a human. Fakes not only make you look like a cheapass, but a heartless one. Anyone who knows anything about fashion knows it’s always better to carry an inexpensive non designer bag than a fake.

OMG i totally agree with u! those people find pleasure in putting others down because they have no good qualities about themselves. It’s the same as middle school, dressing "cool" means wearing shirts with abercrombie written over them just to get the store more advertisement. so stupid in todays world. people who wear designers are pretty much saying "look im rich!"

Well Coach is actually considered really cheap for a luxury brand to be honest with you… I think people are better off going to the Coach outlet store. I once bought a super hot purse for only $80 bucks. Thats a bargain.. and I generally use real Coach, Louis Vuitton, Burberry and Gucci. But if theres an outlet why not? As far as the people go… There immature. I guess they want to be stuck up because they have the real thing. Personally I buy real Louis Vuittons and I saw a girl with a fake. I told her it was a cute bag. I knew it was fake but I’m the loser I paid $740 for my bag she probably paid $40 for hers. I don’t see the big issue.. I think people are just immature. I could careless. Rock the fakes who CARES!

I just think that if the person cannot afford the real one then dont get an obvious knock off of the real thing.
Get a different unique purse like: verabradley, delias, forever21, target, or shop at stores like tj maxx or marshalls [they have brand name stuff for less]

I love Coach purses. The fakes are obviously fake, but come on… A ‘G’ or an ‘O’?? I think it’s because they look nothing like the original. And even the structure of a lot of the knockoff bags bear no resemblance to an actual Coach. Maybe try buying cute vintage purses so no one will be paying attention to the label, just how stylish and cute it looks.

that’s just what i think and i don’t have a coach purse (go louis vuitton!) and i wouldn’t make fun or a big deal about someone having a fake coach purse. i see it all the time, so i’m used to it, but i hate it.
so maybe this problem is just where you live.
—oh, and bluepig1..: just because people who wear designer labels (and abercrombie is not a designer label) are pretty much saying "look! I’m classy and sophisticated." :]

Because people in the world today have brains the size of a peanut. I totally agree with you! It should be about the style, not the designer label. Sometimes fakes are cuter than the real things, and they shouldn’t be made fun of if they can’t afford something that you can. Its unethical, unless the owner flaunts about how real it is even if it isn’t.

I just don’t understand why people buy knockoffs, just to pretend they’re something they’re not. You may as well buy something else. The majority of Coach purses I have seen look terrible plus they’re half the price of real Coach’s. Just to look as though you have a ‘posh’ bag.
I think people should save up the money they want to spend of fake Coach’s, then spend it on a genuine that lasts you years and years.
Plus, counterfeit sellers can be linked to terrorism, child explotiation, etc.
