♦♦ Need help!!! Someone ask me to make them a Wordpress Template! What is that?

Author: thnx for answering and hopefully u can help me! Ok im a graphic Designer and someone wants me to make them a "WordPress template" For their site! Can i make one in photoshop? Someone please tell me what this is!

Thanks for hitting me back. Here is what I am looking for….
Basically, I went online and downloaded a basic template and was going to have someone put my content in the website and then upload it to my server. Well, I am still waiting on them to finish that.
So I have decided to just post the website myself. All im looking for is a custom wordpress template. I have attached a word document to this email that will give you the details as far as the content I am looking to put on the page. I just want the template to support the features I need, like a calendar, media player for uploading songs and movies, photo gallery, and shopping cart.
The name of the company is called Geecci Boy, Inc. We are a hiphop music and film company. So im looking for a urban feel but classy, something that fits.
My current logo is at (his website) . I have the psd files for that logo if you want to work from it…I can put it on the server and you can download it.
Im looking for a cool background, and nice logo across the top. You know…tell me what you think

The answer is really simple , wordpress is a open source blog application , http://wordpress.org is their website. wordpress template is the visual look of it , you can make the visual look in photoshop but you’ll need to know a little CSS and PHP and HTML basics to turn it into a wordpress compatible theme. you can download almost up to thousands of free templates(theme) here http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/ in their website , they’re very professional and they’re free , if you like a little more help and you’d like to understand the whole deal , see this website http://net.tutsplus.com/ , there’s lots of wordpress tutorials in it , just search wordpress in it , and http://smashingmagazine.com , this one is great too , just search wordpress in it and you’ll find lots of great things

You’re probably best turning them down, since you don’t know what a wordpress theme is. Learn the Wordpress platform (not hard but there are things you need to know to put a theme together.)
Once you learn it, then you can make the templates/themes for it.
